Note: If you are creating this configuration file on behalf of someone, insert their email address into the placeholder and click Send Configuration File. Then, click Download Configuration File.Next, click Download and paste the code you just copied into the placeholder.Copy the passcode – this will be used once-off to authenticate the configuration file (you don’t need to worry about remembering this code).Insert your name, email address, and email password into the Configuration Tool below.The profile will not download correctly in another browser. If setting the account up on an iPad or an iPhone, open this page in your Safari browser.
The setup is now completed and you should be able to send email via your AuthSMTP account.The easiest method is to open this webpage on the device that you would like to install the mail account.If you would like to use your AuthSMTP service with multiple accounts we would recommend that you configure each account in turn and restart Mac Mail between each account change, we have found issues with this version when editing multiple account configurations.Please ensure that 'AuthSMTP' is selected in the drop-down menu next to 'Outgoing Mail Server'.You have now setup the AuthSMTP outgoing mail server.Click on 'Authentication' and select 'MD5 Challenge-Response'.For alternative ports see our online port checker tool.Untick 'Automatically manage connection settings' ( IMPORTANT).You can test your SMTP username and password using our online password checker tool.Please ensure that you use the SMTP password and not the control panel password.Enter your AuthSMTP username and password.Click on the plus (+) button to add another SMTP server.Click on the 'Outgoing Mail Server' drop down menu and select 'Edit SMTP Server List.'.We recommend that you restart Mac Mail between each config change.If you have multiple accounts, you will need to edit each one separately.Click on the Mac Mail account you wish to edit.Go to the Mac 'Mail' menu and click 'Preferences'.Open Mac Mail on High Sierra by clicking the Icon.These instructions are for Mac Mail on High Sierra 10.13 - for other programs please see How To Setup AuthSMTP or contact us.Only change the items specified - you should not need to change POP3 / IMAP settings.Take a note of any settings you change.These instructions assume your email account has already been setup and is collecting email correctly.First you need to make sure the email address(es) you will be sending from have been authorised in our Control Panel.Please see our Mojave 10.14 Mac Mail SMTP server setup guide here.
